Bahia Vista Mennonite Church is a congregation of Mennonite Church USA located in sunny Sarasota, Florida. We are affiliated with the Southeast Mennonite Conference. The first Mennonite church in America was formed around 1698, but our roots go back to the reformation in Europe.
Bahia Vista is a community church, including people of various backgrounds. With other Christian churches in our community, we seek to share the good news of God's love in our words and our lives. The emphasis of Bahia Vista is on caring, not just congregating. We understand Christianity to be a relationship with Jesus Christ and other Christian believers, not only another religion. Our commitment is to worhip God in all our gatherings, to live our Christianity and not just give lip service to it. In all of this we think of ourselves as a special kind of family. We are eager to do all we can to be available to you for prayer, counseling, or any other service we can render in Christ's name and for God's glory.
